Samaritan Village breaks down the restorative process into manageable phases, helping women achieve success one step at a time. Below is an overview of that process. Each phase contains incremental levels of progress and achievement built into it.
Phase 1 - Residential life
Women live together in a structured setting for a minimum of nine months. The first 45 days focuses on building the foundation for future work - discovering who we are on the inside, what we can aspire to be, and how we can make life-sustaining choices. After 45 days, residents become employed and empowered to live out the values they continue to learn. Life skills, biblical teaching and group meetings continue to undergird every phase of recovery.
Phase 2 - Semi-independent living
Upon the successful completion of Phase 1, graduates move off-site, while continuing to have the support they need to navigate this transition. The women continue meeting together regularly for accountability, budgeting and group study. Phase 2 offers a safety net while affording a comfortable level of independence, building a rental history and navigating community resources. Phase 2 is critical for continued success, as many women relapse when making the transition from structure to independence.
Phase 3 - Interdependence
Rubber meets the road in Phase 3, when women are empowered to live out their lives using the tools and resources they've gained from earlier phases of healing and recovery. While group participation is no longer required, women are invited and encouraged to continue their involvement in corporate study, accountability and community service/outreach.
U GO GIRL!
(United Girls of God in Righteous Living) - The spirit of a united group of women is unstoppable! U GO GIRL! has a two-fold purpose - to bring women together for encouragement and accountability, and to send women out to serve our community. U GO GIRL! is a part of every phase of Samaritan Village.
Women's Leadership Initiative
Women come to Samaritan Village from all walks of life. Many of them have dreams of a better life that have been halted because of addiction and exploitation. But God is able to restore hopes and dreams, and the Women's Leadership Initiative serves as the conduit for doing just that. The Women's Leadership Initiative helps women who want to continue their education, follow a particular career path or start their own business. The Women's Leadership Initiative helps women tap into the resources that can make their dreams a reality, by providing mentors, finding scholarships, and engaging in entrepreneurial training.
